8 tips to make the most of your holidaysThe holidays can be a difficut time for those dealing with depression. Keep these 8 things in mind to help reduce the stress of the season:
Read the entire article at PsychCentral. Tammi’s Christmas present
Finally, when Tammi was 30 years old, she was officially diagnosed with bipolar disorder after having a severe bout of depression. After being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, Tammi was admitted into the psychiatric ward 3 times within a 2 year period, spending a total of 6 months in the hospital. She felt the medications she was prescribed for bipolar disorder made the symptoms far worse. Eventually, Tammi heard about Truehope and their natural alternative to psychiatric medications, Empowerplus. She decided to try the Truehope program in November of 2007 and by January of 2008 she was able to come off of all her medications. By Christmas of 2008, Tammi was symptom free and able to enjoy life. It was then she and her husband knew everything was going to be okay. She says, “[Truehope] saved my life. Because of [Truehope], my husband has a wife, and my children have a mother.” Watch her video and see how Truehope changed Tammi’s life. A Promise of Hope
In A Promise of Hope, Autumn Stringam unravels her true story of living with a severely bipolar mother and growing to become depressed and then wildly ill herself. When her dad saves her with an off-the-wall miracle of discovery, life becomes a roller coaster ride of rebellion, recovery, government raids and triumph in court. 15 years later, this unlikely discovery challenges everything you thought you knew about mental illness. Visit autumnstringam.com to read more about her and her story. Holiday hoursWe will be closed on 26 December 2011. We will operate 8:00–16:30 on 27–30 December 2011.
