Truehope celebrates 15 years of health and hope!

This year marks the 15th anniversary of our founding. We proudly continue to provide quality products and unique mental health support for our clients. We have witnessed thousands take control of their mental health, and we look forward to helping even more in the years ahead.

Thank you for your continuing support!

How it all got started

Stephan familyAfter his wife and father-in-law committed suicide and multiple diagnoses of mental illness were found among his children, Anthony Stephan was desperate for help. Medications prescribed to two of his children were useless. By the fall of 1995, Anthony’s daughter, Autumn, had been prescribed thirteen different drugs over a three year period, and his son, Joseph, was doing poorly on his bipolar medications and was heading straight for a major hospitalization. He scoured libraries, universities, and the Internet for answers, but to no avail.

Then his prayers were answered. He met David Hardy, shared his story of how mental illness was killing off his family, and David said the most amazing thing: “I don’t know anything about mental illness, but your son sounds like a pig with ear and tail biting syndrome.”

Thus began a wonderful journey of discovery. At the time, David had been working on a nutrient formulation for the treatment of agitated swine in large Southern Alberta farms. In early 1996, Anthony decided to give the pig formulation a try on his children.

Over months of experimentation, tweaking and finding appropriate ingredients, Anthony cobbled together a formulation that got his children off of their medication and back to living normal lives. David and Anthony joined efforts, shared the fledgling discovery with neighbors and friends, and started collecting data to share with local universities.

A desperate father took radical action to help his children and over the last fifteen years, scientists and researchers around the world have proven his discovery true. Sixteen medical journal research articles declare the effectiveness of EMPowerplus for individuals with various forms of mental illness and the research and discovery into this new way of treating mental illness is only just beginning!
