Juan's Story

Juan recounts how utterly desperate and fearful he and his family felt before he found EMPowerplus for his brother Raul, who suffered from severe bipolar disorder.


Juan employed Raul in his construction contracting business, which was stressful at the best of times. The stress became much worse, however, as Raul’s illness intensified. Raul had been fascinated with guns since childhood and had become very skilled in their use. As Raul became extremely violent toward Juan, his family, and fellow employees, many people feared for their lives.


Some days, Juan honestly believed he wouldn’t make it home alive. “Of course, we were afraid! Every day I was afraid,” Juan recalls. “The environment of the job was very ugly – ugly, ugly.” He confides, “I asked God, ‘Help me! This is hell. I want to live because I have a family. But I can’t withstand this.’ Every day was hell.”


One evening as he was scanning through TV channels, Juan came across “Impossible Cures”, a Discovery Health documentary on the EMPowerplus discovery. He watched the program and immediately contacted Truehope for help.


Juan supported Raul as he started using EMPowerplus. He praises Raul for his willingness to try EMPowerplus and take it consistently. With this critical nutritional support, Raul’s mood symptoms reduced dramatically. Raul soon enjoyed a brand-new life, complete with stable, positive relationships.


Juan and his family, as well as Raul, are very happy and grateful for the help Truehope gave them. “He lives a normal life,” Juan says. “We think this product is great, and people need to know this.”
