Truehope recently received a powerful letter from Jerry O., who has now used EMPowerplus successfully for more than a decade to eliminate her severe bipolar and obsessive compulsive disorder symptoms. Jerry also consented to tell her story on video:
Jerry's Letter
I have been on EMPowerplus for 10 years this year and I thought I would send you a quick overview of the last 10 years. This is a big one for me, and I intend to celebrate this anniversary.
Many people told me that I was crazy to try such a thing as EMPowerplus. I was very sick and if doctors could not fix me, how could a supplement?
After we saw the results I was told that it was a placebo effect and it would never last.
Some placebo effect! In the beginning I don’t think I ever believed that I would still be well in 10 years, but here I am.
I am not quite sure how and why I survived through the 37 years of the hell that I had been through, but I know that it has often kept me from judging others who are suffering. I don’t know if I could do my job, if I had not had this “hands on” training. My own illness provided me with the understanding and compassion of what others are going through.
Possibly, when I die in my sleep of natural causes and old age, I will ask God if this was the plan.
I am extremely grateful for my life today and I will never forget where I have been, although I never want to return. Every day, I look forward to helping one more person live symptom-free with their mental illness.

Before EMPowerplus (1965-2000)
My illness:
I was diagnosed with rapid cycling bipolar disorder -- cycling up to 10 times daily -- and obsessive compulsive disorder.
My symptoms:
Extreme blood-boiling rage, severe depression, feelings of suicide since 8 yrs of age, psychosis, anxiety, nightmares and horrible dreams, racing thoughts, no concentration.
My drugs:
Antipsychotics, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, benzodiazepines, sleeping pills, prescription antacids, abuse of pain killers and any other drugs that made me feel better. In total, 67 different prescription and street drugs.
My life:
On tranquilizers at age 8, attempted suicide, praying daily to die, 2 years of full-time suicide watch, doctor after doctor, 18 hospitalizations, could not read, could not work, could not function.
After EMPowerplus (2000-2010)
July 6, 2000:
I started taking EMPowerplus along with 72 pharmaceutical pills daily.
2 weeks later, I begged for ECT.
3 weeks later, I began to remove my medications.
August 24, 2000:
I took my last psychotropic drug.
August 25, 2000:
I was drug-free and symptom free, I came off 2 yrs of suicide watch, and stopped begging my husband to help me die.
October 4, 2000: I became employed in the mental health care field.
Since 2000: I have never been back to a psychiatrist and I have never taken that 19th trip to the psych ward.
