Often we receive touching letters from individuals who have persevered through many challenges in regaining their health. Sandra's experience illustrates that what we offer you, here at Truehope, is not always a "quick fix" to your health concerns; sometimes, the journey to wellness takes years. We thought her letter might give you the encouragement you need today:
 "My name is Sandra, and I started taking EMPowerplus in October of 2005, and if I try to look back to before I started taking the EMPowerplus, I can actually say I am now alive. Truehope and EMPowerplus saved my life. It has taken me a long time to tell my story, as I was waiting to see if this program would continue to work for me. Not only is it still working, but my body is continuing to heal every day and each and every day is a new and wonderful experience.
"I was born February 11, 1954, and have been broken and sad from birth. My whole life has been one heart break after another. I became a drug dependant person at a very early age, and always looked for love in the wrong places. The stronger the drug, and the less it made me feel, the more I liked it. I have attempted suicide at least 4 times in my life, and had no desire to live in this world. Every day was filled with pain and sorrow.
"In 1989 my father died of cancer and I just could not shake the pain of losing the only one person who stuck by me, so I was put on an anti-depressant and from there they just kept adding more. One to stop the crying, and one to stop the voices, and one to stop the dwelling on life, and one to pick me up, and one to help me sleep, and so on and so on.
"By the year 2000, I started to become a recluse. By 2003 I no longer went outside or did any socializing. I did all my shopping on the phone, had any deliveries made to my house, or my kids would get what I needed. I did not want to face the world. I just wanted to go to sleep and not wake up. I could not make decisions. When I did leave my house I would have such severe anxiety attacks it just was not worth going anywhere. I could not keep a job when I did try to work.
"By 2005, I was on 11 different medications, and I felt like I had on a straight jacket. By this time I was also having problems with my stomach from so many drugs, and I had Arthritis so bad I could hardly move my fingers.
"In June of 2005 I found the Lord, and in October I was told about Truehope and the Truehope program by my Landlord. I started the Truehope program by taking EMPowerplus in October of 2005, while having help and instructions how to reduce my medication so I would not have any severe withdrawals. When I told my Dr. what I was going to do, he was not happy, and told me not to do it, as it was too dangerous for me to go off all the drugs, and that I would require these drugs for the rest of my life. I did not take his advice, and took a leap of faith with the EMPowerplus.
"After the first year of taking the EMPowerplus, the arthritis was no longer bothering me the way it used to, and now my stomach is no longer an issue with my health. My health alone has improved drastically, and my body is younger now than what it was before I started taking the EMPowerplus.
"It is now 2008 and I am 5 years clean of street drugs, I am 3 years clean of prescription drugs. I no longer have any thoughts of suicide. I am 4 months clean from my sleeping pills now (which took me much longer to get off of), as well as 7 months free of tobacco now too. If my body had not been clean from the drugs, I know I could not have quit smoking.
"Truehope was there for me every day thru all the hard days and the good days. Without their support I could not have done it, but with their continued support and a lot of hard work, and with one step at a time, I did it, and I am still doing it. For the first time in 40 years, I am free from all addictions and drugs! Thank you Truehope!
"Now I am experiencing a new part of the process, they call it the "waking up" period and now I am experiencing many new feelings, but I am still having a hard time knowing what to do with them all as my cup over flows quite often. With the continued support of Truehope and EMPowerplus, I know I will continue to grow into a worthwhile person with much to offer the world. We need to tell the world that vitamins and minerals are better for the body than all the prescription drugs they are taking. We also must not let the government try to tell us what is good for us.
"After I had been off all my medications for over a year, I went to see my Dr. and he asked me what changes had I made, as I was looking good. When I told him I went off all my medications and am strictly taking EMPowerplus, he was amazed. Thank you for giving me a life to live."
